History Club

Our club originally met at the National Archives in Morrow. We are interested and motivated students who love archival research. Some people are interested in genealogy and others are interested in historical events. Both types of researchers coexist in our club!

Many home schoolers have enjoyed the Home School History program at the State Archives. These are appropriate for very strong students of history in grades 8-12. The classes tend to be at a very high level (think APs) and use primary sources. Contact the State Archives facilitator for more information: penelope dot cliff@usg dot edu

National World War II History Museum sponsors a high school bowl in February. A team of 3 - Danny, Marie, and Ben - went many years back. Any interest among our high school history people? Email our road trip expert if you are interested: johndorminy.ga at gmail dot com
